SHOP CHIEF
), WG-3806-11 your duties are below. Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop, which is then completed, by the incumbent and lower graded mechanic(s). Determines approaches, methods and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the shop in an effective and efficient manner. Independently determines approprie maintenance procedures. Estimes time, equipment and merial requirements. Devises and maintains plans and records. Provides recommendions and input to the supervisor concerning personnel actions such as performance appraisals, awards, position description changes, disciplinary actions, and leave. Performs the full range of shop work. Perform in-process, final inspection, and clear stus symbols certifying work performed by others in shop. Implements safety regulory requirements. Ensures th other workers in the shop wear approprie safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. Prepares for, and participes in, various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises. Perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operion, maintenance of facilities and equipment. Serves as a member of a team to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. Performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
WG-3806-11: Must haveexperience in the following : Experience or training in planning, layout, and construction skills to manufacture items and systems with dovetailed seams, set-in-bottom seams, burred-bottom seams, or wired or lock seams. Experience using more compliced shop tools and equipment. Experience in using metals including stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb merial and alloys. Experience demonstring the use of more compliced mhemical calculions and compliced measuring instruments. experience which demonstres the ability to estime merial and manpower needed for specific jobs; to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience th provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstres the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communice knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes.
