Job Description
Job Summary
The Helicopter Sheet Metal Technician repairs, fabricates, and modifies helicopter airframe and structural components to FAA airworthiness standards. This role reports to the Director of Maintenance and works closely with A&P mechanics, avionics technicians, and quality inspectors to keep the fleet flight-ready. The technician is responsible for structural integrity work ranging from routine skin repairs to major component fabrication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited aviation maintenance or sheet metal training program preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of sheet metal fabrication or structural repair experience on aircraft; helicopter experience strongly preferred
- Skilled with rivet guns, bucking bars, sheet metal brakes, shears, and precision measuring tools
- Valid driver's license; must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
