Job Description
Barnhill Chimney Supply is a family-owned manufacturer of chimney venting products (caps, liners, and related components). This is a high-quality job that offers exceptional work-life balance and overall quality of life. This is not an entry-level or trainee role. We are seeking a seasoned sheet metal fabricator who can step in immediately and contribute.
CANDIDATES WITH SOLIDWORKS EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FIRST.
Sheet Metal Fabricator primary job duties include:- Operating metal shears, brakes, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Performing general shop duties as assigned by supervisor
- Assembling custom chimney caps, chase covers, and various sheet metal products In addition to primary duties, the Sheet Metal Fabricator will also be involved in identifying opportunities for improvements, developing standard work practices, maintaining a clean and professional work environment, and performing a variety of unique tasks as necessary.
Required Skills:
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Strong understanding of basic arithmetic
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and/or specifications
- Critical thinking to help drive process and tooling improvements
- Desire to continually learn and grow with our company
Desired Skills:
- Sheet metal experience is a plus, but not required
- Hands-on experience in construction, HVAC or other trades
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks
