40 to 50 hours per week, including overtime opportunities Job Summary NSC Staffing is hiring an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder for a well established HVAC duct manufacturing company in the Grand Rapids area. This is a hands on fabrication role focused on producing rectangular, round, and oval HVAC ductwork, roof curbs, and curb adapters. The ideal candidate has solid MIG welding experience and is comfortable working with light gauge sheet metal and other fabrication equipment. Responsibilities MIG weld galvanized, carbon steel, and stainless steel Weld primarily 14 to 26 gauge materials Layout, fit, and fabricate sheet metal components Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Perform hand plasma cutting Operate equipment such as press brakes, ironworkers, cold saws, chop saws, and hand brakes Assemble HVAC ductwork and related components Insulate ductwork, roof curbs, and curb adapters Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy Prepare and palletize completed products for shipment Assist with general fabrication and assembly duties as needed Qualifications At least 2 years of MIG welding experience Experience welding light gauge sheet metal preferred Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Able to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn additional fabrication processes Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment Ability to work 40 to 50 hours per week, including overtime as needed Why Join NSC Staffing?
