A Sheet Metal Fabricator or Mechanic fabricates and installs parts or products made with thin sheet metal, such as heating and air-conditioning ducts used in construction or parts used in aircraft manufacturing.
Hire Bonus Available Requires a minimum of four (4) years of sheetmetal experience or related craft experience in joiner, shipfitting, and/or carpentry. Fabricates and installs a variety of sheet metal such as ductwork, venting systems, main engine exhaust, metal containers and instrumentation panels. Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, and other specifications, using shop mathematics.
