Sheet Metal Worker/Stainless steel fabricator (welder)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Worker to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing custom metal parts for various types of projects. You will be working on different projects every day. This position is NOT a line-welder style job.

DAY SHIFT

(occasional night shifts required for specific installs) 7:00am-5:30pm (occasional overnight shifts required if traveling, hours may vary) Full time - 40 hrs per week (Four 10's) Major holidays off 2 weeks scheduled vacation each year (1 week summer & 1 week winter) Semi-annual attendance & tenure bonus This position is NOT a travel contract. Requirements:

Min. 1 year of tig/GTAW experience preferred with thin gauge stainless You do not have to be certified Weld Test required before hiring to determine pay offer Valid Driver's License Required Applicant must live within 40 miles of our shop Applicant must be able to work the provided schedule, have reliable transportation to work daily, and work some travel team shifts as requested. Applicant must be responsible to account for the work he/she completes in a timely manner. _____________________________________________ The applicant must be able to demonstrate the following abilities, including but not limited to:

WELDING RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine and set your own machine settings determine welding machine issues fuse weld corners (weld without fill rod when possible) GTAW welding processes Use of power tools/hand tools as needed (grinder, drill, etc.) Welds need to pass visual inspections only

NO CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Must pass our weld test and meet these requirements Tig weld thin gauge sheet metal (16 gauge - 10 gauge) MIG & Stick welding experience is a plus

FABRICATING RESPONSIBILITIES

interpret shop drawings/sketches to fabricate parts must be able to lift 40 pounds read a tape measurer to 1/16" inch basic understanding of math (including adding/subtracting fractions) inspect parts for quality to utilize shop equipment safely to fabricate, weld, cut, bend, shear, grind, polish using the appropriate tools (press-brake, shear, plasma cutter/torch, hand tools/power tools).

ABILITY TO FABRICATE.

I.e. Knowledge and understanding of cutting, bending, and assembly process.

Pay:

$23.00 - $33.00 per hour
