Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder-Fabricator specializing in Sheet Metal to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal components using various welding techniques with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality signs seen nation-wide. Duties Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine welding requirements. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and arc welders. Select appropriate welding materials and techniques for each project. Join or fabricate metal parts by applying appropriate welding methods. Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards. Perform repairs on metal components, machinery, and structures as needed. Ensure all work meets safety regulations and quality assurance protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to complete projects on time. Document work performed and maintain equipment logs as required. Experience Proven experience working in manufacturing environments involving sheet metal fabrication. Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and arc welding techniques with a strong understanding of welding codes & standards. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical drawings essential for precise fabrication. Hands-on experience operating fabrication machinery such as plasma cutters, press brakes, machining tools, and pipe threading equipment. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow them diligently. Physical stamina to stand, lift, and work in various positions for extended periods. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is a plus. Strong safety awareness with experience following OSHA regulations or similar safety standards on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
