Commercial Construction Position Overview We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for commercial construction projects in the Austin area. Candidates should have hands-on experience installing and working with sheet metal systems on commercial job sites and be comfortable working as part of a construction crew. This is an immediate opportunity for skilled mechanics who can step onto a commercial project and contribute from day one. Key Responsibilities Install, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal components for commercial construction projects Install ductwork and related HVAC sheet metal systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Measure, cut, bend, and modify sheet metal as needed Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Assist with layout and installation of duct systems Work from lifts, ladders, and elevated work areas when required Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow project safety requirements and OSHA standards Work efficiently with other trades and construction crews Requirements Commercial construction experience required Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic Experience with commercial ductwork and HVAC sheet metal installation Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings Proficient with common hand and power tools Ability to work safely at heights Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to pass required pre-employment screening Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team Why Work With Trade Management?
