Responsibilities Fabricate and install commercial HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems Layout, measure, cut, fit, and assemble sheet metal components Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications Install ductwork according to project requirements and SMACNA standards Coordinate with foremen and field crews to maintain production schedules Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail Follow all company safety policies and jobsite requirements Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition Assist with project completion while meeting quality and productivity goals What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of commercial or industrial sheet metal experience Experience fabricating and installing HVAC ductwork systems Working knowledge of SMACNA standards and industry best practices Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Ability to work from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in mechanical rooms Strong work ethic and commitment to craftsmanship Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Preferred Qualifications Experience on commercial construction projects Experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment OSHA training or safety certifications Strong leadership potential and desire for career growth Ability to mentor apprentices and less experienced mechanics About H&G Systems Since 1968, H&G Systems has built a reputation for quality workmanship, technical expertise, and long-term customer relationships.
