Sheet Metal Fabricator / EstimatorJob Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator / Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with sheet metal and operating various fabrication equipment. The Metal Fabricator will play a crucial role in building high-quality metal products that meet our clients' specifications. Responsibilities As a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Estimator , your duties include: Fabricate duct using sheet metal, ensuring precision and adherence to design requirements. Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication processes. Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with industry standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Carefully review and interpret AC mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Operate various fabrication tools including hand tools, welding equipment, plasma cutters. Conduct quality inspections. Assist with fabrication tasks involving sheet metal, tooling setup, assembly, and welding to bring blueprints into physical form. Support the use of forklifts for material handling while maintaining safety protocols throughout all operations. Collaborate with team members in troubleshooting machining issues or blueprint discrepancies to maintain workflow efficiency. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication. Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication machines. Strong understanding of codes and standards relevant to sheet metal fabrication. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong blueprint reading skills with a focus on mechanical drawings related to HVAC systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication processes involving sheet metal. Ability to use hand tools effectively for assembly and adjustments. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in machining tasks. Ability to operate forklifts safely within a manufacturing environment.
