This is a full-time, field-based opportunity supporting a busy mechanical contractor's commercial division with day-to-day fabrication, assembly, and installation of duct systems on an active project site. If you can pull dimensions off a print, run your own layout, and put up duct that looks like duct, we want to talk.

Pay & Schedule:

$50.00 per hour Monday through Friday, day shift 40 hours base, overtime available as the project demands

Sheet Metal Mechanic Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and ductwork submittals Lay out, fabricate, and install rectangular and round HVAC duct systems Cut, shape, and join sheet metal using precision hand tools and standard fabrication methods Hang, brace, and seal duct to commercial building components per SMACNA standards Install related components including diffusers, registers, dampers, and flex Coordinate with project foreman and other trades to keep installations on schedule Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all site safety requirements

Sheet Metal Mechanic Qualifications:

Required:

3+ years of journeyman-level commercial sheet metal experience Ability to read and execute from blueprints and shop drawings independently Proficiency with sheet metal hand tools and fabrication techniques Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
