Responsibilities include:
Install, assemble, modify, and repair sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and layout plans Measure, cut, bend, fabricate, and install sheet metal components Install ductwork, hangers, supports, dampers, and related HVAC components Operate hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and sheet metal equipment safely Ensure proper alignment, sealing, support, and quality of installed duct systems Coordinate with supervisors, mechanics, and other trades on active jobsites Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project requirements Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite requirements Assist with material handling and jobsite organization as needed Complete assigned work within project schedules and productivity goals What We're Looking For Required qualifications: Minimum 2 years of commercial or industrial sheet metal experience Experience installing HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Preferred qualifications: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience with commercial HVAC systems Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, or forklifts Trade school, sheet metal apprenticeship, or related technical training Physical Requirements Candidates should be able to: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and more with assistance Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Wear required personal protective equipment, including PPE Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Overtime available based on project needs About Kodiak Kodiak is seeking skilled tradespeople who take pride in safe, high-quality work.
