Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Sheet Metal Fabricators to contribute to a dynamic aerospace production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and calibration of various fabrication tools to cut, shape, and bend metal components to exact engineering standards. Successful applicants will possess a strong background in interpreting technical blueprints, utilizing precision measurement instrumentation, and operating industrial fabrication machinery.
Compensation:
$22 - $30/hr depending on experience
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm, with required overtime. Alternatively, a Monday through Thursday shift is available from 2pm to 12:30am, which includes a $2 shift differential and requires overtime as needed. Please note that initial training occurs on the day shift for approximately four weeks.
Location:
Kent, WA Core Responsibilities Utilize fabrication hardware such as shears, saws, press brakes, grinders, and CNC systems like lasers, routers, and turret punches. Configure and calibrate machinery using supports, fixtures, shims, and tooling to ensure high-precision alignment. Analyze and translate technical drawings, work orders, blueprints, and project specifications. Perform layout, marking, and measurement of materials using squares, rulers, calipers, and related instruments. Verify that completed components meet tolerance standards by utilizing templates, gauges, and micrometers to ensure quality output. Execute routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting tasks as necessary. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for the entire team. Adhere strictly to all internal work instructions, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Proactively identify potential workplace hazards to help maintain a safe environment for all staff. Work effectively alongside leadership and colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved. Assist in the development of Level I operators through training and mentorship (Level II only). Complete other tasks as assigned by management. Maintain a record of consistent and reliable attendance. Candidate Qualifications High school diploma or GED is required. At least one year of production or manufacturing experience is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with material handling equipment and hand tools. Proven ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints. Experience utilizing precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Familiarity with powered tools like sanders and grinders is preferred. Background in aerospace manufacturing is considered an asset. Higher levels of experience are required for placement at the Level II tier. Physical Requirements Ability to remain standing and walking for extended durations. Capacity to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50-75 lbs, utilizing equipment or assistance as needed. Frequent manual dexterity required for part inspection and tool operation. Occasional reaching, crawling, kneeling, stooping, and bending. Strong visual acuity necessary for inspecting parts and reading measurements. Work Environment Manufacturing facility involving exposure to: High noise levels requiring hearing protection. Airborne particles, fumes, smoke, and dust. Periodic temperature variations. Heavy material handling equipment and machinery. Mandatory use of personal protective equipment including safety footwear, gloves, hearing protection, and eye protection. This role is designated as a safety-sensitive position. Additional Requirements Must maintain eligibility to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) standards.
