Job Description
Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Playground Installation Specialist to join our team. The Playground Install Specialist will be responsible for the installation training, setup of equipment for trade shows, assessing issues to determine solutions, repairs of playgrounds in various locations and Training onsite Installers for the Certified Installers Program. The candidate will have a strong background in playground Installations and equipment operation experience. They will also possess excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills and a commitment to ensuring the safety and functionality of installed playground equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.
Installation:
Certified Installers Program- Lead training of participants on installation of equipment from the beginning to end, receiving and unloading equipment, layout and placement, drilling and setting ground holes, installation technics, insert replacement, pouring of concrete footings, different surfacing types, finalizing install and communication with customer and any other function required to meet training requirements.
- Install playground units according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure proper training on optimal functionality and safety requirements for installation.
Troubleshooting:
- Conduct thorough inspections of installed systems to ensure all components are functioning correctly and meet manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions that arise during or after installations.
- Communicate with installers to resolve installations questions and ensure systems meet performance standards.
- Work and communicate with manufacturers to resolve any issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including equipment used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
- Complete installation reports and documentation for internal records and client reference.
- Provide detailed instructions and training to Certified Installers on how to install and maintain playgrounds.
- Produce install videos of new and existing products that are historically difficult to install.
- Provide post installation reports.
- Report discrepancies and produce progress reports to Q.A. Director weekly, or as required
- Complete expense reports and each job's final documentation 4.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout the installation process.
- Conduct safety inspections of installed equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
- Educate Installers on proper safety procedures and guidelines when Installing playgrounds.
Customer Service:
- Must be Customer Centric
- Communicate effectively with Installers to understand their needs and address any concerns they may have.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service throughout the installation process and beyond.
- Represent the company in a positive manner and uphold its reputation for quality and reliability. 6. Other duties as assigned or needed. Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional technical certifications or training preferred
- Degree in project management, construction management, and/or similar experience highly preferred
- NPSI certification preferred; must become certified within six months
- Lull experience, Bobcat/skid steer, or similar experience preferred
- Familiarity with playground equipment and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record Travel Must be able to travel as required, for extended periods of time including weekends Travel > 75%

- New Playground Inspections (when required) Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to visually distinguish different colors
- Must have valid Driver's license and willingness to drive company truck (pulling trailer)
- Strong background in construction (considered a plus)
- Experience driving construction equipment (Lull, Forklift, Skid Steer Loader, etc.
