is hiring a Solar Technician who has graduated from a graduated from an in-state, DAS-approved apprenticeship program (ex:
WECA, ABC, IBEW
), or an out-of-state federally-approved apprenticeship program to grow their career in solar installation. Job Duties/ Responsibilities Effectively work in a team to install and seal roof attachments, equipment racking supports, and solar panels Perform all construction tasks per manufacturer's installation guidelines Electrical wiring of solar array/system (DC and AC) and installing raceways around residential applications include roofs, attics, walls Perform site survey activities with a team and independently Review job installation plan with Crew Lead Assist in tracking inventory for each project Prepare, load, and organize installation vehicles Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment Maintain a clean job site during job and ensure job site is clean before leaving
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have graduated from an in-state, DAS-approved apprenticeship program (ex:
WECA, ABC, IBEW
), or an out-of-state federally-approved apprenticeship program. Please include program name in your application/resume. 1-3 years solar experience High school diploma or trade school degree related to construction or building sciences Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communications Able to work well with others in a collaborative team environment Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance Must possess a valid California driver's license Must be willing to travel up to 5 days per week to job sites around Northern California
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to make multiple trips up and down a ladder and comfortable working at heights. Able to lift, squat, deadlift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. Able to work at ground level, kneeling and bending Able to kneel and stand repeatedly (lunges) Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc) Able to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, etc.)
