In this role, you will be responsible for installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while developing your skills in electrical work, construction, and roofing. The ideal candidate will be energetic, safety-conscious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment dedicated to renewable energy. Responsibilities Safely install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and electrical components on various types of roofs and ground mounts. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation procedures. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and secure solar equipment according to specifications. Connect electrical wiring for high voltage and low voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Conduct site assessments to evaluate roof integrity, structural requirements, and potential obstacles such as plumbing or roofing materials. Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites. Assist with the setup of construction sites using forklifts or other equipment as needed for material handling. Perform fixture installation and ensure all electrical connections meet local codes and safety standards. Skills Strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, including schematics and blueprint reading. Experience working as a commercial electrician or in construction site environments with electrical components. Knowledge of NEC regulations related to solar energy systems installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction machinery such as forklifts. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for fixture installation. Basic plumbing knowledge is a plus for integrating system components where necessary.
