The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and technical skills related to solar technology. The Solar Installer will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and high-quality installations while adhering to all safety regulations. Responsibilities Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems. Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of solar installations. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a construction site environment. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) during installations. Perform electrical work, including low voltage wiring and connections. Collaborate with commercial electricians when necessary for complex installations. Conduct routine inspections of installed systems to ensure proper functionality and safety. Assist in the training of new team members on installation techniques and safety practices. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Experience Previous experience in solar installation or related fields is required Familiarity with construction sites, including safety protocols and procedures. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts is advantageous. Knowledge of electrical systems, Battery applications, is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and understand technical specifications related to solar energy systems. Experience in other build trades can be beneficial for installation tasks.
