Direct Hire | $23-$28 per Hour | Gainesville, FL Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Lead Solar Installer for a confidential direct-hire opportunity with an established employer in the Gainesville area. This position leads an installation crew and is responsible for completing residential and commercial solar installations safely, accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on solar or electrical experience with strong crew leadership, organization and communication skills. Compensation and Schedule $23-$28 per hour, depending on experience Permanent, direct-hire position Full-time, primarily daytime schedule Overtime, evenings or weekends may occasionally be required Occasional overnight travel may be required Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a crew of solar installers Coordinate daily job preparation, assignments and installation activities Assemble and install solar racking, roof attachments, modules and related components Complete roof layouts, string layouts, wiring and conduit assemblies Read and follow solar installation plans and project specifications Ensure installations are completed safely, accurately and on schedule Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety procedures Train, coach and provide direction to installation crew members Communicate project status, delays and jobsite issues to project management Maintain a clean, safe and organized jobsite Ensure tools, equipment and materials are properly stored and accounted for Keep the assigned installation vehicle clean, organized, fueled and properly stocked Complete installation, commissioning and post-project reports Identify opportunities to improve installation quality and crew efficiency Required Qualifications At least two years of solar installation or electrical experience Previous experience leading or supervising an installation or construction crew Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code Ability to read and interpret solar installation plans Strong planning, organization and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing jobsite priorities Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Basic computer proficiency Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record check and pre-employment physical Reliable attendance and punctuality Physical Requirements Ability to work safely at heights and on rooftops Ability to climb ladders and work while kneeling, bending or crouching Ability to lift and carry solar panels, tools and installation materials Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and changing weather conditions Ability to wear required personal protective equipment Preferred Qualifications Five or more years of solar installation experience Experience leading a crew of four or more employees Electrical installation experience OSHA 10 certification Experience completing inspection, commissioning or installation reports Familiarity with computer-based project documentation Benefits Competitive health benefits Paid time off Retirement plan with company match Professional development and technical training Long-term career opportunity in the renewable-energy industry How to Apply Apply through Indeed with a current resume outlining your solar, electrical, construction and crew-leadership experience.
