Job Description

Overview Radiant Electric Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Solar PV Lead Installer and experienced PV commercial installers to lead commercial solar photovoltaic installations in Honolulu. This leadership position demands strong technical expertise, team leadership, quality focus, and the ability to perform effectively in Hawaii`s variable outdoor conditions. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise installation crews on commercial solar PV projects while actively performing hands-on work as a self-starter Perform precise system layouts and manage full project execution Oversee installation of solar racking components, PV modules, DC stringing , inverters, and electrical systems Execute high-quality terminations, wire management and follow strict wiring best practices Maintain high installation standards to mitigate DC system failures and ensure optimal performance Document the entire installation process , including daily reports, AC/DC testing protocols, serial number tracking, design verification, and delivery confirmation Implement rigorous quality assurance and control measures for consistent, defect-free installations Train and mentor PV installers and apprentices on best practices Conduct site assessments, Safety and quality inspections, and final system verification Requirements Minimum 4+ years of hands-on solar PV installation experience with significant commercial project background Proven ability to lead teams , work independently as a self-starter , and deliver results Strong expertise in system layout, solar racking, PV electrical DC stringing , inverter equipment, wiring, and termination best practices Experience with documentation (daily reports, AC/DC testing, serial number tracking, design verification, and delivery confirmation) Ability to work in inclement environments , including prolonged exposure to sun, heat, rain, and changing weather conditions Strong understanding of safety precautions and limitations to ensure site safety and crew protection at all times
NABCEP PV
Installation Professional certification (or willingness to obtain) Thorough knowledge of NEC codes and commercial electrical systems (electricians) Valid Hawaii driver`s license with clean driving record Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality and documentation standards Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety Certification (a plus) Experience with large-scale commercial rooftop and ground-mount systems Strong track record of reliable installations with excellent documentation practices
Pay:
$30.00 - $60.00 per hour
