Role Overview:
We're seeking a motivated and experienced Residential Solar Installer to join our team in Hills, IA. As a key player in our solar installation crew, you'll contribute to transforming rooftops into eco-friendly powerhouses. We want to hear from you if you're passionate about renewable energy and thrive on precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Solar PV Installation :
Installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential rooftops and other structures.
Site Assessments :
Perform site assessments and measurements to determine optimal system placement.
Assembly and Maintenance :
Assemble, install, and maintain solar modules, panels, and support structures.
Compliance and Quality :
Ensure all installations comply with local codes and regulations, maintaining our high standards.
Collaboration :
Work closely with the installation team to complete projects efficiently and within budget.
Troubleshooting :
When challenges arise, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar installations.
Customer Interaction :
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients throughout the process.
Qualifications:
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in solar installation is a plus.
Experience :
Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation.
Electrical Knowledge :
Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
Blueprint Literacy :
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Problem-Solving Skills :
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements :
Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions; excellent physical stamina.
Driver's License :
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Certification :
NABCEP certification is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Wage :
19.23-25.63 per hour, based on experience.
