Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled NABCEP Certified Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor to our renewable energy projects, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar energy systems with precision and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative solar solutions, contribute to sustainable development, and grow your expertise in the solar industry. Your hands-on skills and technical knowledge will help us deliver top-quality solar installations that meet industry standards and client expectations. Responsibilities Install photovoltaic (PV) solar panels on rooftops and ground-mounted systems, ensuring proper alignment and secure mounting. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical components following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, ensuring safe and compliant wiring practices. Perform system commissioning, testing electrical connections, inverters, disconnects, and monitoring equipment for optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as forklifts safely and efficiently during installations. Conduct fixture installation, electrical wiring, plumbing connections where applicable, and troubleshoot system issues on-site. Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, safety procedures, and inspection reports to ensure quality control. Requirements Valid NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification as a Solar Installer or equivalent credential. Proven experience with residential electrical work, including high voltage systems and blueprint reading. Strong understanding of NEC regulations related to solar energy systems installation. Experience with roofing work, construction sites, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise system setup. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to solar thermal applications is a plus. Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and efficient workflow management. Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts on construction sites is preferred. Review system design, single-line diagrams, and installation practices for code compliance (NEC) Assist with permit documentation, AHJ coordination, and final approvals Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues quickly and effectively.
