Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Technician to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (solar) systems across various commercial and onshore sites. Your expertise will ensure that solar energy systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all electrical safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while developing your skills in high voltage and low voltage electrical systems within a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Install and/or troubleshoot photovoltaic systems, including panel mounting, wiring, and fixture installation on rooftops and ground-mounted sites Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide system installation and troubleshooting Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot issues related to photovoltaic systems, ensuring minimal downtime Follow electrical safety procedures in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and industry best practices Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and forklifts safely to perform installation and maintenance tasks on construction sites Perform routine inspections of electrical systems, identify faults, and execute repairs efficiently Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure proper integration of electrical work with roofing, plumbing, and structural elements Requirements Proven experience working as a solar technician or in related electrical roles such as commercial electrician or construction electrician Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation Familiarity with photovoltaic system installation, troubleshooting electrical systems, and electrical diagnostics Ability to adhere strictly to electrical safety procedures including NFPA 70 standards and OSHA regulations Experience working outdoors on construction sites with roofing or roofing-related tasks preferred Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, forklift operation, and fixture installation techniques Construction site experience with a focus on renewable energy projects or similar outdoor work environments Join us in advancing clean energy solutions! Pay:
