Job Overview We manufacture commercial railing, handrail, and guardrail systems and need a traveling Railing Installation Foreman to lead crews and own the quality of the install. You will run the work in the field, read the drawings, keep production moving, and stop anything that does not meet IBC, ADA, or our standards. This is a hands-on site role, not an office scheduling job. Projects are almost all commercial and nationwide. Lodging and per diem are company-paid and are not included in the hourly rate.
Duties Lead the railing crew:
assignments, sequence, pace, and daily production Install and inspect posts, rails, handrails, anchors, and finishes Check heights, openings, alignment, graspability, extensions, and anchorage against the drawings and code Stop non-compliant work and get it corrected before it is covered up Build photo punch lists and close them Coordinate with the project manager, site superintendent, and other trades Keep materials and tools moving for the railing scope Hold a short daily safety check and enforce fall protection Report production and open quality items to the project manager Requirements Commercial construction experience installing or leading handrail, guardrail, or similar architectural metal work Able to read installation drawings and specs Has actually directed a crew, not only worked on one Comfortable with fall protection and working at height Valid driver's license and willing to travel nationwide for multi-day stretches Able to explain commercial handrail height (34-38 in), guard height (42 in), and the 4-inch opening rule Preferred OSHA 30. If you only have OSHA 10, you must be willing to complete OSHA 30 right away Fall Protection Competent Person Scissor lift card CPR / First Aid Experience with photo punch lists or a field app such as
