Standby Generators Hiring Generator Installation Technician Job Description Install residential and light commercial Generac standby generators, pads, and automatic transfer switches Handle site prep, rigging, placement, wiring, start-up, and customer handoff Coordinate with gas providers for fuel connections and meter upsizing Perform load checks, voltage and frequency verification, and Mobile Link setup Complete warranty and service tasks, including routine maintenance and diagnostics Document work with photos, notes, and checklists Experience & Overview 2+ years in electrical, generator, or related trades Comfortable with 120/240V single phase, neutral/ground separation, bonding, and ATS wiring Can read prints, follow NEC best practices, and work safely around live equipment Valid driver's license and clean record, able to lift 75 lbs, comfortable with ladders Pride in workmanship, on-time, neat, and customer-friendly Requirement Generac, EGSA, or state electrical credentials Mini-excavator or concrete pad experience Low-voltage networking basics for Wi-Fi setup
