Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar O&M (Operations & Maintenance) Field Service Technician to support the performance, troubleshooting, and maintenance of utility-scale and commercial solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar systems, strong electrical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of solar PV systems. Troubleshoot and repair central and string inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, and related equipment. Monitor system performance and identify underperformance issues using DAS (Data Acquisition Systems). Conduct electrical testing including insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, and IV curve tracing. Perform thermal imaging inspections to detect faults and inefficiencies. Read and interpret low voltage and medium voltage plans, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment datasheets. Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to resolve system issues efficiently. Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and documentation of all maintenance activities. Support commissioning and performance testing of newly installed systems.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of hands-on experience in solar O&M, electrical maintenance, or field service. Strong knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, components, and electrical behavior. Experience with central and string inverters, DAS, and communication systems. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents. Familiarity with testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and thermal cameras. Willingness to travel to project sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Needs to have a Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

NABCEP certification or equivalent solar certification. Experience with

SCADA/DAS

monitoring platforms.

OSHA 10/30

certification. Medium voltage switching experience is a plus

Pay:

$50.00
