Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Solar O&M Field Technician to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, and responding to system faults in the field. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on C&I solar PV systems. Troubleshoot and repair inverters, PV modules, trackers, combiner boxes, transformers, and other balance-of-system equipment. Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs safely and efficiently. Respond to
SCADA/DAS
alerts, equipment faults, and system performance issues. Perform electrical testing, inspections, and system commissioning activities. Troubleshoot DC and AC electrical systems, including wiring, connections, breakers, and disconnects. Conduct site inspections and identify equipment deficiencies, safety concerns, and potential performance issues. Support major equipment repairs and component replacements. Work with O&M contractors, vendors, and equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues. Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation. Use CMMS platforms to document maintenance activities and track corrective actions. Follow all applicable
OSHA, NFPA
70E, LOTO, and site safety requirements. Travel to multiple C&I solar sites as required. Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on solar field experience, preferably in C&I solar O&M. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial solar PV systems. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including DC and AC systems. Experience working with central and/or string inverters. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation. Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance. Familiarity with SCADA, DAS, or remote monitoring systems. Ability to use electrical testing equipment and standard field tools. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites. Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SolarEdge, SMA, Sungrow, ABB/FIMER, Solectria, Fronius, Power Electronics, or Enphase inverters. Experience with trackers, transformers, switchgear, combiner boxes, and medium-voltage equipment. OSHA 30 certification.
