Now Hiring:
Solar Installation Technician — Bend, Oregon Power Northwest is hiring a Solar Installation Technician for a temporary, project-based position in Bend, Oregon .
Pay:
$59.40-$62.38 per hour Project duration: Approximately 3-6 months As a Solar Installation Technician, you will work alongside electricians and experienced solar professionals on a commercial solar project. You will assist with installing solar panels and related equipment while gaining experience reading plans and schematics, troubleshooting field issues, and turning system designs into completed installations. What we're looking for: Experience in construction, roofing, solar, or another skilled trade Solar installation experience is strongly preferred Roofing experience is a major plus Sheet metal and flashing experience will set you apart Strong work ethic and a proven ability to work well as part of a team Professional and respectful communication with co-workers and others on the jobsite Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfort working on ladders, rooftops, and at heights Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to identify and address safety concerns before they become hazards OSHA 10 certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable working at heights, and wants to contribute to a meaningful renewable energy project.
