Job Description
Holiday Light Professionals NJ is hiring Seasonal Christmas Light Installers for the upcoming holiday season. We're a family-owned, tight-knit holiday lighting company that installs hundreds of residential and commercial Christmas light displays each season throughout South Jersey, Bucks County, Central Jersey, and the greater Philadelphia area. This is a fun, fast-paced seasonal job with the opportunity to make great money in a short period of time. You'll work outside with a good crew, visit different properties every day, and build displays people are genuinely excited to see. Why Join Us? Installers start around $25/hour Experienced crew leads typically earn $30-$35+/hour Top-performing and returning crew leads can earn up to $40/hour Plenty of overtime opportunities during peak season Performance-based bonus opportunities Opportunities to advance into crew lead and performance-based pay Company vehicles may be available depending on role Paid training — no Christmas light experience required Family-owned, tight-knit work environment What You'll Do Install professional Christmas lights on rooflines, gutters, peaks, trees, shrubs, columns, railings, and other structures Install wreaths, garland, and other holiday decorations Work from extension ladders and rooftops Run extension cords and make clean electrical connections Troubleshoot and repair lighting displays Load, unload, and organize ladders, lights, tools, and equipment Work with your crew to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and professionally Assist with takedowns and organization after the holidays No Experience? We'll Train You. Christmas light installation experience is not required . New installers begin with paid training at $20/hour for up to one week . Training can end earlier once you demonstrate the skills needed to work safely and effectively with a crew. Once training is completed, you move into the regular installer pay rate. Experience with roofing, ladder work, construction, painting, gutters, window cleaning, tree work, electrical work, solar, or similar trades is a major plus. We're looking for people who: Are dependable and show up on time Have a strong work ethic and good attitude Work well with others Are comfortable with ladders, rooftops, and heights Are willing to learn and take direction Pay attention to detail and take pride in their work Treat customers and their property with respect Take safety seriously Can keep a good attitude when the day gets tough We'd rather teach this job to someone who is dependable, hardworking, and easy to work with than hire someone experienced who isn't a good teammate. The Reality of the Job This job can be a lot of fun. You're outside, moving around, working with a tight-knit crew, seeing different properties, and building some pretty impressive displays. But it's no joke either. You'll be carrying and maneuvering extension ladders, climbing throughout the day, working on roofs, lifting equipment, and spending full days outside. We work through inclement weather when conditions allow us to do so safely. Safety always comes first, and we won't put crews on roofs or ladders when conditions are genuinely unsafe. But cold, wind, drizzle, mud, and uncomfortable weather are part of the season. If it's 38 degrees and drizzling, there's a good chance we're still working. Season & Schedule Our main installation season runs approximately late September through mid-December . Takedown season typically runs from January through around mid-February , providing additional work after the holidays. Hours vary depending on workload and weather. During peak installation season, longer days and overtime opportunities are common. Our work takes us throughout South Jersey, Bucks County, Central Jersey, and the greater Philadelphia area , so reliable transportation to work is required.
