Solar & BESS Field Technician Location:
Houston, TX (Travel required)
Pay Rate:
$30.00 - $35.00/hr (Targeting ~$35.00/hr)
Type:
Full-Time Role Summary:
Looking for a Houston-based Solar & BESS Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on commercial and utility-scale solar and battery storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot commercial/utility-scale solar PV arrays and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Inspect and service inverters, transformers, switchgear, and monitoring systems.
  • Support system startup, testing, and commissioning on site.
  • Follow strict electrical safety protocols (OSHA, NFPA 70E).
Requirements:
    Experience:
    2+ years in commercial solar, utility-scale sites, or BESS.
      Preferred Background:
      Prior experience with renewable contractors like CES, Pierce Power, Lightwave, or similar.
        Location & Travel:
        Based in Houston, TX, with flexibility to travel to project sites.
        Skills:
        Strong knowledge of PV systems, industrial batteries, and high-voltage electrical equipment.
        Pay:
        $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
