Job Description
Job Title:

- is the lead field expert for a portfolio of
- commercial, industrial, and distributed‑generation solar sites
- . You independently troubleshoot complex inverter, DC, and AC electrical issues, ensure safe system performance, and provide technical leadership across multiple locations.
- Key Responsibilities
- + •Troubleshoot inverter, DC, and AC issues•and restore system production + •Perform advanced electrical diagnostics•(IR testing, string isolation, current/voltage checks, HMI analysis) + •Make independent field decisions•to minimize downtime + •Support remote troubleshooting•to reduce unnecessary site visits + •Document root causes and corrective actions•clearly and accurately + •Complete safety procedures and JSAs•for all tasks + •Mentor junior techs•and model safe, disciplined diagnostic practices + •Perform preventive maintenance•on inverters, combiners, disconnects, and BOS equipment + •Identify recurring issues•and escalate with proper documentation + •Manage spare parts•and provide inventory input + •Collaborate with monitoring teams•to validate alarms and prioritize work + •Travel regularly•across the regional site portfolio •Essential Skills•+ •3+ years•in commercial, C&I, or utility‑scale solar O&M + •Inverter troubleshooting experience•(string or central systems) + Ability to independently diagnose •DC field•and •inverter‑related•issues + Proficiency with •multimeters, clamp meters, meggers, and inverter HMIs•+ Strong communication and field leadership + Valid driver's license and willingness to travel + Ability to follow safety procedures and complete JSAs •Additional Qualifications•+ Experience reducing repeat inverter faults through •root‑cause analysis•+ Familiarity with •DAS and monitoring platforms•+ Experience mentoring junior technicians + Comfort working across •multiple C&I and DG sites•+ Preference for •commercial/utility O&M•backgrounds over residential-only experience •Why Work Here•You join a team that values •technical excellence, autonomy, and ownership•.
