Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Tile Setter and bring craftsmanship and precision to every project. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of flooring and wall tiles, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety standards and client expectations. Your expertise will help transform spaces by laying durable, aesthetically pleasing surfaces that stand the test of time. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in building material installation, blueprint reading, and technical schematics will be put to great use. Whether working on new construction or restoration projects, you'll play a vital role in creating beautiful, functional interiors. Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately plan tile layouts and installations. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate underlayments or adhesives for optimal tile adhesion. Install a variety of flooring materials including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy floors, carpets, and trim carpentry components with precision. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure tiles according to project specifications. Execute specialty installations such as epoxy floor applications, water damage restoration tiles, and floor refinishing projects. Perform caulking, fixture installation, cabinet mounting, and other building installation tasks to complete finished spaces. Ensure all work complies with building installation safety standards and industry best practices while maintaining a clean work environment. Experience Proven experience in construction or flooring installation with a focus on tile laying and related building material installation. Skilled in interpreting construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise execution. Familiarity with various flooring types including hardwood floor installation, vinyl floor installation, epoxy floors, carpets, and restoration industry practices. Hands-on experience using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels; power tools like saws and drills; and buffing equipment for finishing surfaces. Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and building installation safety compliance is essential. Previous work involving water damage restoration or floor refinishing is a plus. Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely while maintaining efficiency on busy job sites.
