A Tile or Granite Worker applies granite tiles to lay floors or build walls or walkways, and builds granite countertops. Works with tiles made from marble or wood; works with tiles to create color patterns or decorative designs for residences or other buildings.
Tom's Tile Company is a small, locally owned business serving Fresno, Clovis, and surrounding areas. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking tile helper with previous experience assisting contractors, installers, or working in a construction-related labor field. Tile-specific experience is preferred but not required.
Position Details:
Part-time/as-needed position Start date: As soon as the position is filled Pay based on experience Hours and days will vary depending on scheduled projects Jobs located throughout Fresno, Clovis, and surrounding areas
Responsibilities:
Assist tile installers with flooring, showers, walls, and backsplashes Carry, organize, and prepare tile and installation materials Mix thinset, grout, and other setting materials Assist with demolition and surface preparation Make basic tile cuts when directed Load and unload tools and construction materials Protect customers' homes and belongings Keep tools, materials, and jobsites clean and organized Follow instructions and jobsite safety requirements
Qualifications:
Previous experience assisting contractors or installers, or working in a construction-related labor field, is required Tile-specific experience is preferred but not required Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and jobsite safety Ability to follow directions and work effectively with an experienced installer Dependable, punctual, honest, and respectful Reliable transportation to jobsites Valid driver's license preferred Able to lift tile, tools, and construction materials Comfortable performing demolition and other physical labor Available for a flexible, as-needed schedule Employment may be contingent upon successfully completing a lawful background check because work is performed inside customers' homes
