Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of flooring and wall tiles across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications and safety standards. Duties Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine tile layout and installation procedures. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or primers for optimal tile adhesion. Install a variety of flooring materials including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy floors, and carpets with accuracy and attention to detail. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, grout, caulk, buff, and finish tiles for seamless results. Perform floor refinishing tasks such as sanding and buffing to restore or enhance existing surfaces. Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials and maneuvering large tiles safely on construction sites. Ensure all building material installation complies with safety regulations and construction plans while maintaining a clean work environment. Assist with remodeling projects, fixture installation, water damage restoration, and other handyman tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and ensure precise installation according to specifications. Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate progress effectively on construction sites. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, building material installation, or related fields within the restoration or remodeling industry. Demonstrated proficiency in tile laying, hardwood floor installation, epoxy floor application, vinyl floor installation, carpet installation, and floor refinishing. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and construction plans for accurate execution of projects. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, saws; power tools including drills and grinders; and safety equipment to ensure compliance on job sites. Knowledge of water damage restoration processes and flooring repair techniques is highly desirable. Prior construction site experience involving flooring installation safety standards is essential. Ability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols. Experience in the restoration industry or as a handyman adds valuable insight into diverse project requirements.
