THE OPPORTUNITY

Under general supervision, the Carpentry Contractor performs rough and finished carpentry work and repairing furnishings and tile work. This person will should be able to but not limited to, installing doors, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, shower pans, laminate, and does other work as required (i.e. corking, painting) -

PLEASE NOTE:

MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS & ABLE TO DRIVE - VALID DRIVERS LICENSE

Lays out, cuts, fits and joins building materials to construct, maintain or alter facilities and structures. Constructs, installs and repairs furnishings such as cabinets, desks, shelves, doors and windows. Installs a variety of hardware fittings; installs and repairs floors. Change and replace faucets for kitchen/bathrooms Experience with painting Experience with dry wall, tiling, backsplash, crown molding, & baseboards Experience with plumbing Experience with electrical work

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidates will possess three (3) to five (5) years of experience in general carpentry (finish and rough) including tile work, crown molding, etc.. The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

Technical Experience:

Has a vast knowledge of carpentry, doors installation and hardware, finish cabinetry, laminate and ceramic tile. Knowledge of all tools and materials used in carpentry Self motivation: Establishes goals/objectives and develops a plan of action Initiates actions without prompting Follows up to ensure thoroughness and completeness Looks for ways to improve performance and productivity

Communication:

Communicates effectively and professionally Follows detailed verbal and written direction Utilizes active listening skills and values feedback

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
