Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Helper for Granite Countertops to join our dynamic construction team. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the construction and installation of high-quality granite countertops. As a Helper, you will support skilled tradespeople in various tasks, ensuring smooth project progression and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. This paid position offers valuable exposure to construction processes, building material handling, and customer service, making it an excellent stepping stone for those interested in advancing within the construction industry. Duties Assist with the measurement, cutting, and fitting of granite countertops according to blueprint specifications and project plans Support team members in handling and installing building materials using hand tools and power tools Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing tools, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely Help with the use of construction equipment such as tape measures, levels, and other measuring devices to ensure precise dimensional measurements Follow safety protocols during all tasks, including proper ladder use and handling of heavy materials Support the team in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans to ensure accurate installation Assist with related tasks such as caulking, fixture installation, tile laying, and basic masonry work as needed Qualifications Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety procedures Ability to follow blueprints, technical drawings, and detailed instructions accurately Experience or familiarity with tile masonry, framing carpentry, or general construction is a plus Strong physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and work at heights using ladders safely Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on customer service and communication Willingness to learn new skills related to construction management, estimating, inspection, and material installation Prior experience with plumbing or electrical work is advantageous but not required Join us to develop your skills in a fast-paced construction environment while contributing to beautiful granite countertop installations.
