Richmond Hill Renovation and Handyman Services is looking for an experienced, dependable technician with advanced skills in drywall and tile work. We need someone who takes pride in producing clean, professional results and understands that the details matter—especially in a client's home. This position is ideal for a well-rounded renovation professional whose strongest skills include drywall installation and finishing, drywall repair, and tile installation. Our technicians complete a variety of residential repair and improvement projects, so experience in additional trades is highly valued. Primary Responsibilities Install, finish, and repair drywall Match existing drywall textures and finishes Complete patches that blend cleanly with surrounding surfaces Install ceramic, porcelain, and natural-stone tile Prepare substrates, install backer board, and apply waterproofing systems Lay out tile carefully for balanced, professional-looking results Complete grout, caulk, trim, and finishing work Diagnose underlying issues before beginning repairs Protect clients' homes, furnishings, and surrounding work areas Maintain an organized and safe jobsite Communicate professionally with clients and company team members Document project progress and report unexpected conditions promptly Assist with other residential repairs and renovation work as needed Required Skills and Experience Strong professional experience in drywall installation, finishing, and repair Strong professional experience in tile layout, cutting, installation, grouting, and finishing Working knowledge of tile underlayment and waterproofing methods Ability to achieve smooth drywall finishes and blend repairs into existing surfaces Ability to accurately measure materials and plan work efficiently Ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend appropriate repairs Comfortable working independently while following the approved scope of work Valid driver's license and dependable transportation Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential repair and renovation work Additional Experience We Value Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Interior and exterior carpentry Trim and door installation Painting and surface preparation Flooring installation Cabinet installation Minor plumbing repairs Bathroom and kitchen renovations Punch-list and general handyman work What We're Looking For The right person for this position: Produces consistently high-quality work Pays close attention to layout, alignment, finish, and cleanliness Arrives on time and follows through on commitments Treats clients, coworkers, and properties with respect Communicates clearly when questions or unexpected conditions arise Takes responsibility for their work Understands the difference between simply completing a job and completing it correctly Maintains a clean, professional appearance and attitude Position Details Job type: Full-time
