An installation technician is responsible for physically preparing and installing a variety of materials including but not limited to wood, tile, granite, LVT, and marble to floors, walls, ceilings and roof decks. The installation technician is responsible for keeping the foreman appraised of a job's status on a daily basis. Requirements Verify all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are prepared for each job and are out for delivery in a timely manner. Determine and implement layout of materials to achieve the customer's desired pattern. Remove old materials, including tile, grout, and other adhesives. Cut and shape materials to fit layout specifications, including corners, angles, and around objects. Mix and apply plaster, mortar, concrete, glue, or other adhesives to form a bed for other materials. Application of materials (including but not limited to wood, tile, granite, LVT, and marble to floors, walls, ceilings and roof decks). Aligning and straightening tile Taking daily pictures of the job progress for the foreman and provide estimate of remaining scope of the job.
