Job Description

Sims-Lohman is hiring Granite Fabricator/Installer or Utility team member with 2+ years' previous granite fabrication with machine operation experience to work at our North Canton, Ohio location. We have first shift available. First shift hours are 7:30 AM
  • 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday with overtime as needed. This position will be utilized as needed within our shop operating cutting machinery and or hand polishing, and may assist with installations from time to time. Responsibilities include:
  • Trim, scrape or polish countertops or parts, using hand grinders and equipment
  • Verify quality of finished countertops by inspecting them, comparing them to templates or measuring their dimensions
  • Operate fabrication machinery to router or polish counter top edges
  • Operate machinery to cut countertop pieces to specifications and customer satisfaction Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience polishing countertops highly preferred, and/or 2+ years' experience general industrial experience using hand grinder or polisher.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools including hand grinders and hand routers
  • Ability to read shop drawings and use a tape measure
  • Ability to work with heavyweight
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
  • Possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle as needed Competitive Pay Based on Experience.
