Responsibilities Perform chimney sweeping, cleaning, and inspection to remove soot, creosote buildup, and debris for optimal fireplace safety and performance Conduct masonry repairs and restoration on chimneys, fireplaces, and related structures using stone masonry, bricklaying, mortar work, and concrete finishing techniques Installation of stainless steel liners, wood burning appliances, and chimney caps with precision using hand tools and power tools Build or modify scaffolding safely around work sites to access high or hard-to-reach areas during construction or restoration projects Adhere strictly to safety protocols including OSHA standards while operating heavy equipment and working at heights on masonry scaffolds Collaborate with clients to evaluate project scope based on construction plans and provide estimates related to chimney or fireplace renovations or installations Skills Extensive experience in masonry including stone masonry, bricklaying, concrete forming, plastering, stucco application, drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and renovation work Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and building material installation techniques Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and saws; welding equipment; heavy machinery operation when necessary Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights or with hazardous materials Experience with construction site management including scaffold building for masonry projects and restoration tasks Ability to assess project needs quickly and adapt techniques accordingly while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship Join us in delivering exceptional chimney services that prioritize safety, durability, and customer satisfaction!
