For more than 26 years, Seal Out Scorpions has specialized in protecting Arizona homes from one of the Southwest's most difficult residential pests: the Arizona bark scorpion. Along the way, we developed Building Performance Sealing as a discipline. This is not a basic "caulking" or pest-control sealing service. Traditional building weatherization generally focuses on larger energy and air-loss issues. Our work goes deeper into what we call micro-weatherization , identifying and correcting the hundreds of small openings, construction gaps, penetrations, joints and pathways that can allow pests and uncontrolled airflow through a home. Doing this correctly requires an understanding of the building, materials, airflow, pest behavior, construction methods and skilled application. That is what we teach. We Are Building Our Next Team Our experienced Tier 1 Building Performance Sealing Team performs our highest-level work. As we expand, we are developing a Tier 2 Team of technicians who will work within our standards while building the knowledge, technical ability and craftsmanship required to advance into Tier 1. You do not need to walk through our door already knowing everything we do. You do need to bring the right foundation: Dependability. Mechanical ability. Curiosity. Attention to detail. What You'll Learn Building Performance Sealing technicians work inside and outside residential structures performing detailed exclusion and micro-weatherization work. You may learn to diagnose and address: Interior wall, ceiling and floor-to-wall penetrations Baseboards and finish transitions Plumbing and utility penetrations Cabinetry and built-in construction gaps Electrical and mechanical penetrations Interior and exterior door systems Garage and structural transitions Construction joints and hidden pest pathways Air movement and pressure-related pathways Pest entry points that traditional sealing commonly overlooks Proper selection and application of different sealing materials and methods Not every opening gets caulk. And this is not a "caulking" service. Part of becoming a professional is learning what should be sealed, how it should be sealed, what material or method belongs there, and when something should not be sealed at all. Strong Fit If You Have Experience In:

Painting, finish work, caulking, weatherization, carpentry, doors, cabinetry, drywall, construction, remodeling, home repair, handyman work, HVAC/weatherization support, pest exclusion or another skilled hands-on trade.
