Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Weatherization Technician to join our team dedicated to improving energy efficiency and safety in residential and commercial buildings. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, installing, and maintaining weatherization measures that reduce energy consumption and enhance comfort. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to identify areas for weatherization improvements, including insulation, sealing, and ventilation upgrades Install various types of insulation such as fiberglass, foam board, and cellulose according to work orders and project requirements Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, sealing, and fabrication tasks Climb ladders safely to access roofs or elevated areas for insulation or sealing projects Follow strict safety protocols during all phases of work to prevent accidents Qualifications Experience with knowledge of building techniques such as framing, drywall installation, roofing, masonry, plastering, and stucco preferred Hands-on experience with building insulation installation and air sealing methods preferred Ability to operate hand and power tools safely including drills, saws, caulking guns and other relevant equipment Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations on-site Experience with construction site safety protocols including ladder use and fall protection measures Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding comfortably for extended periods during projects Ability to work in small areas such as attics and crawlspaces in inclement temperatures Join us as a Weatherization Technician if you're passionate about sustainable building practices and eager to develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
