$22.00-$27.00 per hour Full-Time | Year-Round Work | Paid Training Get Paid to Learn a Skilled Trade Working in construction, roofing, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance, installation, warehouse, delivery, or another hands-on job? Your experience may be exactly what we're looking for. Northeastern Masonry & Chimney is hiring a Chimney Technician Apprentice and will provide paid, hands-on training to the right person. You do NOT need chimney experience to apply. We're looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable with physical work, and interested in turning those abilities into a long-term skilled-trade career. Your Experience May Transfer Better Than You Think You may already have many of the skills we're looking for if you've worked in: Construction Roofing HVAC Landscaping Warehouse operations Delivery Maintenance Carpentry Masonry Home improvement Appliance or equipment installation Mechanical repair Property maintenance General labor Other physically active, hands-on jobs We'll teach you the chimney-specific skills. We're more interested in your work ethic, reliability, mechanical ability, and willingness to learn. What You'll Learn You'll work alongside experienced technicians and receive hands-on training in: Chimney and fireplace inspections Chimney cleaning and maintenance Fireplace and chimney repairs Chimney and fireplace installations Basic masonry and construction Using hand and power tools Proper ladder setup Rooftop and job-site safety Preparing tools and materials Protecting customers' homes while working Troubleshooting common chimney and fireplace problems Professional customer communication Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicles You'll start by assisting experienced technicians and take on additional responsibilities as your skills and knowledge grow. What a Typical Day Looks Like This isn't a job where you'll stand in one place doing the same thing all day. You'll travel to customers' homes and work on different projects. One day you may help inspect and clean a chimney. Another day you may assist with masonry repairs, fireplace work, chimney components, or an installation. You'll use tools, climb ladders, work outdoors, solve problems, and learn from experienced technicians. You'll be getting paid while developing skills that can lead to your own technician position. Requirements Valid driver's license Acceptable driving record Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to lift and carry approximately 50-80 pounds as required Ability to safely climb and work from ladders Ability to work on rooftops Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions Dependable attendance and punctuality Construction or skilled-trade experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person. Pay & Benefits $22.00-$27.00 per hour Starting pay within the range is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
