Chimney Technician Assistant We're not just cleaning chimneys. We're keeping people safe and warm. We're hiring 1-2 Chimney Technician Assistant to join our team for the busy season. This is an entry-level, hands-on position on one of our chimney service crews. No prior chimney experience is required — but work ethic, reliability, and coachability absolutely are. For the right person, this role can become the first step toward our Apprentice Technician track and long-term advancement within the company. About the Role As a Chimney Technician Assistant , you'll work alongside experienced technicians on real job sites — rooftops, basements, fireplaces, and exterior masonry projects. This is physical, skilled trade work. You'll be part of a crew responsible for: Chimney inspections Cleanings and sweeping Masonry repairs Liner installations Stove and insert installs You won't just carry tools — you'll learn how professional chimney work is done safely and correctly. What You'll Do Assist technicians during installs, repairs, and sweeps Set up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment Move materials and tools safely Protect client homes using drop cloths, vacuums, and PPE Maintain truck cleanliness and organization Support warehouse organization and material staging Follow safety procedures and company SOPs You'll be part of a crew. That means showing up prepared, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of your role in the day's success. What We're Looking For You show up on time and ready to work You're physically capable of climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working outdoors in varying conditions You take direction well and ask questions when unsure You value safety and follow procedures carefully You treat clients and teammates with respect You value honesty, warmth, and practical solutions Valid driver's license required Growth Path Strong performers may be invited to join our Apprentice Technician track , which includes: Company-supported certification pathway Paid training resources Increased responsibility Pay advancement Advancement is earned through reliability, safety, skill development, and team contribution. Not everyone will pursue this path — and that's okay. But for those who do, it's a real opportunity. Pay & Structure Starting pay: $20/hour Full-time hours during busy season This is a seasonal role.
