Armed Security Officer

We are seeking armed security officers for stationary accounts with consistent schedules and days off. These include weekends and overnights ,no day shift M-F available as they go to current employees based on seniority. We are looking for career minded officers with the desire to grow within a company and take the next steps in their careers. Seeking prior military, law enforcement, or experienced Security Officers. The right candidates we will put through the NC PPSB Training first, then the extensive on the job training. This position will be required to become certified in firearms, taser, expandable baton, body worn cameras, OC and handcuffing.

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and posture at all times, no electronic devices allowed.
• Acknowledge and greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Provide security escort services to guests and employees as required.
• Observe, report, document, and take action as needed to include detainment of individuals for violations of law. Turn persons over to Law Enforcement Officers and also write reports and be able to testify in a court of law when needed.
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed and assist Law Enforcement Officers as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Military and/or Law Enforcement experience preferred
• Current

ARMED NC

PPSB or UNARMED License

PREFERRED.

• reliable transportation required
• Qualify with a minimum of 80% on the shooting qualification.
• U.S. citizen, able to read, write, and speak English required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required; conflict resolution experience preferred.
• Favorable background investigation required with NO criminal history.
• Proven and documented record of past employment reliability required.
• Ability to work weekends, and varying shifts (days, evenings, nights) required
• Adequate physical fitness with the ability to constantly stand on your feet, and maintain mental focus and awareness of surroundings during assigned shifts required.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
