The Program Coordinator will also provide academic intervention tutoring to students enrolled in the after school program. The After School Program Coordinator will also prepare monthly and quarterly attendance reports and assessment of the effectiveness of after school programs. The After School Program Coordinator will work with administration, staff and parents and provide information to them on program schedules and activities. This position will coordinate the after-school learning program for Mariposa Elementary School. The position is temporary and may renew annually (dependent on funding).
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
1. Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade. 2. Successful passage of Instructional Aide test or meet the NCLB (No Child Left Behind Act) requirements for paraprofessionals. 3. Valid California driver's license. 4. Fingerprint clearance from law enforcement. 5. Ability to analyze data and prepare evaluation reports.
Desirable:
1. Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university. 2. Successful classroom or tutoring experience at the elementary level. 3. Knowledge of instructional intervention programs. This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule on Range 23. JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Under the supervision of the Principal, the ASES Program Coordinator will provide coordination of ASES program activities including recreational and enrichment activities provided by community partners. The Program Coordinator will also provide academic intervention tutoring to students enrolled in the ASES after school program. The ASES Program Coordinator will also prepare monthly and quarterly attendance reports and assessment of the effectiveness of after school programs. The ASES Program Coordinator will provide information to the administration, staff and parents on program schedules and activities. Specific duties will include but are not limited to: Attend professional development activities related to ASES program operation and evaluation. Develop informational materials on ASES program schedules, classes and activities to send to parents and staff. Develop agreements with program partners for recreational and enrichment activities. Develop and/or adapt academic assessment and instructional materials for intervention instruction. Assist the Principal in the annual evaluation of the ASES Program using ASES evaluation instruments. Prepare monthly and quarterly program attendance reports. Reports will be prepared for each activity and for the overall program.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 1.
High School Diploma 2. Be No-Child-Left-Behind (NCLB) Compliant. 3. Valid California driver's license. 4. Fingerprint clearance from law enforcement. 5. Ability to analyze data and prepare evaluation reports.
