Behavioral Technician (Student Support Services) at Mariposa County Unified School District and COE Print Application Deadline 5/29/2026 12:00 PM Pacific Date Posted 5/15/2026 Contact Amy Smith 2097420250 1209 Number of Openings 1 Salary Pay Range $18.72 - $23.94 Per Hour Add'l Salary Info Salary placement is dependent on experience related to the position, plus educational unit incentive pay opportunities Length of Work Year 7.0/hours per day for 202 days a year Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary The Behavioral Technician will provide a range of behavioral supports to students within the Mariposa County Unified School District/County Office of Education. The Technician will provide assessments, develop individual behavior plans; provide training and consultation to staff, families, and caregivers, attend team meetings, collect and monitor data, and collaborate with school, District staff, and outside agencies as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
One year of experience working directly with students and providing behavioral support. Additional experience/training specific to behavior management or applied behavior analysis is preferred.
Education:
Associate's degree or meeting MCUSD's requirements for being an instructional aide (NCLB - see below). Bachelor's/Master's degree from an accredited university and/or college with major coursework in clinical social work, psychology, or counseling, or a closely related field preferred. This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule on Range 18.
PLEASE NOTE THE 2025-26 & 2026-27 SALARY SCHEDULE IS PENDING - SALARY IS CURRENTLY BASED ON THE 2024-25 SALARY SCHEDULE.

This position is a grant-funded position to serve in our Student Support Services Department for 7.0 hours/day for 202 days a year and the continuation of this positions is contingent on funding. The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools, and one comprehensive high school. Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities. The area is suited for those interested in outdoor activities and rural community life.
