In this energetic role, you'll be actively engaged in assembling components, reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and ensuring quality standards are met while assembling manufactured products according to specifications. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical skills in a fast-paced environment that values precision, safety, and teamwork. Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
- Ability to position, align, and fit parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
- Ability to position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting.
- Skilled use of various hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ability to use and read a tape measure.
- Maintains equipment and tools and performs basic repairs when needed.
- Operates forklift to move heavy equipment around.
- Cleans and lubricates equipment, maintains a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned.
- Measure dimensions of completed products or parts and workpieces to verify conformance to specifications with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic requirements.
- Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
- Reports any issues to the supervisor or higher-level employee.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints and schematics.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
