Monday - Friday (Saturday as needed) From 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Pay rate: USD $ 22.50
Contract:
W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temp to hire)
Summary:
The Assembler I position is responsible for assembling various subassemblies and finished products within the Tool and Head departments. Key duties include performing functional tests, conducting quality checks, interpreting mechanical and electrical instructions, and ensuring timely production. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a crucial part in efficient manufacturing and adherence to production standards.
Core Responsibilities:
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions to determine assembly procedures Assembly experience required: Assemble a variety of components using hand tools and power tools Verify dimensional specifications, alignment, and functionality of assembled parts Perform basic mechanical adjustments and alignments for proper fit and operation Conduct operating tests per product checklists Use feeler gauges, hand tools (manual, air-driven & battery), arbor presses, and hand trucks Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for assembling electrical components Install switches, sensors, connectors, and wiring harnesses in assemblies Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met Identify and correct discrepancies or defects in the assembly process Document assembly procedures, test results, and quality issues Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors Keep work area safe, clean, and organized, adhering to 6S practices Record production data daily Assist in training less experienced employees Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Level I:
1 year of assembly experience required Electrical and mechanical experience required Basic computer skills, including
Microsoft Office Key Competencies:
Adaptability Communication Detail Orientation Listening Energy Integrity Additional Information:
In-person assembly assessment required as part of the interview process
