Job Description

Assembly Technician HelperDescriptionPremier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.

The Assembly Technician Helper will set up and support hydro testing of pump packages, including connecting units to water test tanks and monitoring for leaks and other operational concerns. The Assembly Technician Helper will also perform cleaning duties and provide general help around the shop. We are looking for someone who wants to work hard and grow within this company, someone who takes pride in their work, who can get set up on their own and deal with the day-to-day tasks. This will be a great opportunity to gain experience and expand your skills! This position is located in Spring, Texas. You will report to the Assembly Supervisor.

ResponsibilitiesPerform hydro testing on finished pump packages (training provided)Complete all required documentation as it relates to the duties of the positionSupport and maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the facility Perform required tasks in a timely manner as instructedCount parts, materials, and help maintain accurate inventoryOperate manufacturing equipment (training available) Use a computer as needed to process work ordersDaily housekeeping of the shop (organizing, cleaning etc.) Take instructions, adapt quickly and be a team player Adhere to all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment QualificationsAt least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma / GED, or equivalent additional job experienceKnow the basics: how to turn a wrench and change a tireBasic computer skills for data entry and reportingAble to stand and kneel for extended periodsAble and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditionsHighly motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow, ask questions, seek self-improvement and the ability to manage your own time effectivelyBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k) company matches up to 4% of employee contributionsVacation (up to 40 hours Vacation time accrued per year in years 1-3, pro-rated in year 1 based on start date)Paid Sick Leave 8 paid holidays per calendar yearEmployment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and criminal background check.

Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, and work in a test yard/shop environment for extended periods. Occasionally required to kneel or stoop.
