Elma, NY Job code: 1989 Overview Tekberry is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician to support a global leader in precision motion control and advanced manufacturing technologies. This role supports production, development, prototype, and qualification hardware within a collaborative Assembly & Test (A&T) environment. This position involves hands-on assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement activities supporting complex hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and hybrid systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented manufacturing environment and possess strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and troubleshooting capabilities. This is a part-time, as-needed position supporting 3rd shift operations . Candidates are ideally expected to train on 3rd shift, though training schedules may vary depending on business needs. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Test Operations Perform assembly and testing tasks on production, prototype, development, and qualification hardware Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and hybrid systems Operate inspection equipment, hydraulic test equipment, electrical equipment, pumping systems, and environmental test equipment Follow written procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions Technical Support & Process Improvement Support Assembly & Test and Engineering teams with troubleshooting and technical problem-solving Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, producibility, safety, and quality Collaborate with Product, Design, Environmental, and Test Equipment Engineering teams Provide feedback to engineering teams regarding hardware issues and recommend solutions Documentation & Reporting Record and maintain accurate production records, logs, and test data Assist with development of Assembly & Test procedures, failure analysis documentation, and quality reports Maintain compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements Training & Team Collaboration Train and support team members on assembly, testing, and processing methods Participate in team meetings, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities Support lean manufacturing and workforce flexibility initiatives Build positive working relationships across production and support departments Qualifications Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Experience in assembly, testing, manufacturing, or production environments Mechanical and technical aptitude with troubleshooting abilities Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain accurate documentation and production records Ability to work independently and within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, or electronic systems Experience operating test equipment and inspection instrumentation Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated production environments Experience supporting prototype or qualification hardware Experience training or mentoring team members Work Environment Part-time, as-needed position supporting 3rd shift operations 3rd shift schedule: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM Training targeted for 3rd shift but may occur on alternate shifts based on operational needs Manufacturing and laboratory-style production environment Hands-on role requiring use of equipment, tools, and instrumentation Collaborative team-oriented environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement We need hard-working, reliable employees.
